Welcome to our Blog where you will learn about Pure Serendipity Events as a company and learn about the people behind the scenes!
We are so happy that you stopped by the our blog to visit. My goal is to try to make people smile by sharing our passion for all things that relate to the events we cater or attend. I like to post about events that my wonderful friends, featured guests, and I all work so hard on. Like I always say " love is in the details" .
You will also be able to enjoy some of our personal adventures and journey through this path we call life. I would love for you to get to know us on a personal level. We enjoy meeting new people and attending networking events in the wedding industry. So, hopefully you will stick around to see PSE flourish and blossom.
I am also a mother of two school age boys, so you will probably read about our adventures with our family and how we get through our days running this event planning and floral design company full time! I know it sounds a bit crazy, but we have learned it is not impossible.
Oh! Did I mention my family and I practically live at Disneyland Resort? Well we do! We have annual passes and we go every chance we get. I guess living in California has its perk (besides the amazing weather). We, (my husband and I) try to spend and enjoy our time with our boys as much as possible. They grow up SO fast and we don't want to miss any moment of it.
Well I think that is enough of that. Again, THANK YOU for taking the time out of your busy life to learn a little more about us. We will keep in the loop as much as possible.

I can't even count how many times I have been told that having a planner and/ or coordinator is an "unnecessary luxury", "I know what I want and don't need anyone telling me any different", and my personal favorite "it's a big WASTE of money". Usually these are the same people who call me a few weeks before the big day to try to get the wedding back on track. But, have you ever stopped to think about how a planner or a coordinator can actually save you time and money, help you and your family enjoy your wedding and not let it become a job, and lastly how much your vendors appreciate having someone there to help and direct where everything should be?
TIME & MONEY
Coordinators and planners are there to help you! Planners help you find the best vendors within your allowed budget. This only helps you avoid going over your spending limit and turning your wedding into a complete ball of stress. Trust me, stress is no joke during wedding planning. This past May I was hired to coordinate a wedding that never happened. Stress became a strong factor in the couple's decision to cancel the wedding 5 days before big day! They chose to only hire me to coordinate and refused my service as a planner. Of course they not only lost a special day, but they lost over $30,000 for canceling all their vendors with short notice. As a coordinator I have helped countless of couples smoothly enjoy their wedding. I make sure they stay on schedule. I create a timeline for the wedding and the vendors. Without a coordinator most weddings run behind schedule. These are the weddings where the bride is late or the couples are late to their venue and have no time to enjoy their party. This means less pictures, less dancing, less of everything. Without someone to help you stay on track, you lose time everywhere else that matters.
Coordinating Is My Job, Not Your Guests
How many have attended a wedding where you see mom or some other relative serving the food or greeting the guests? I can recall at least 3 weddings I attended this year where family members did not enjoy the event they were invited to. I understand that sometimes couples do not have the budget for a full service catering company or venue, but that does not mean you get to take advantage of your guests. Your guests go with the expectation to celebrate WITH you a joyous occasion. Never in a million years should you invite someone to your wedding and ask them to help you run the show. In most cases your guest has no clue what is going on or what to do in case something unexpected happens. Work with a coordinator who not only has experience, but is willing to work with you and your budget. There are many Month-of-Coordinators that are very inexpensive. I know many, including myself, if you book them early enough, they can find a way to incorporate their service to your desired budget. Great resources for finding experienced and reasonable Coordinators are WeddingWire, Wedding Lovely and googling your nearest month-of-coordinator helps too. Don't be afraid to read the reviews and ask any questions. Great coordinators will not only have the right answers, but they will give you the peace of mind you deserve on your wedding day.
Your Vendors Will Love You
I have heard stories of how DJ's, photographers, and caterers have had to double as coordinators for their clients and not even get paid for it. This is never okay! You would never allow your boss to work you double duty and not compensate you. Your vendors are there to perform their contractual duties and then go home to their loved ones just like you. I have had photographer friends tell me that they have had clients who had no clue where to go next after their wedding ceremony; whether to go straight to the venue or if they have extra time for photographs. Yes, your DJ can double as your MC, but even if you created the perfect timeline on your own, how will they know if you are running late? Or running early, who will cue them to start or hold off for a few more minutes. The last thing a vendor wants or needs is to have an unorganized and tardy client. Coordinators help facilitate the transitions between events on your wedding day. Your coordinator will create a relationship with you and your vendors, so there is never lack of communication and you can always buy more time for any unexpected changes. We, planners and coordinators, prepare months ahead to make sure you enjoy your wedding. It is our job to ensure you participate and bask in every aspect of your wedding entertainment.
A Month-of Coordinator and/ or a planner is a wise investment! We make sure that your wedding is as perfect as you dream it would be. Your wedding is a celebration of your union, do not let it overwhelm you or take over you. Sometimes it's okay to let someone with experience help you. We are here to make your life easier and smoother. You, your family, guests and vendors will thank you for hiring a wedding coordinator
